Carers' Booklets

Throughout our three year Carers' Project, Beat has developed three information booklets for carers: Caring for a child or adolescent with an eating disorder; Supporting an adult with an eating disorder; and Supporting a partner with an eating disorder.

The booklets include information about eating disorders; possible causes; what you can do to help; treatment; support; recognising you are a carer and looking after yourself; and much, much more.

'Caring for a child or adolescent with an eating disorder' is for anyone who is supporting someone under the age of 18 who is suffering from an eating disorder:

'Supporting an adult with an eating disorder' is for anyone who provides help and support to someone over the age of 18 who is suffering from an eating disorder:
